Referral Program Terms of Service

1. Program Overview

The MyPesaBooks Referral Program ("Program") allows registered users ("Referrers") to earn commissions by referring new customers ("Referees") to our M-Pesa to QuickBooks integration service.

2. Eligibility

To participate in the Program, you must:

• Be a registered MyPesaBooks user with a valid account
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid M-Pesa number for receiving payouts
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Referral Process

1. Referrers receive a unique referral code upon registration
2. Referrers share their referral link with potential customers
3. Referees must register using the referral link/code
4. A commission is created with "PENDING_TRIAL" status
5. After the referee's trial ends and they pay their first invoice, the commission is confirmed
6. Confirmed commissions are added to the referrer's available balance

5. Withdrawal Process

Referrers may request withdrawals when:

• Their available balance reaches or exceeds KES 1,000
• They have a valid M-Pesa number on file
• All commissions are in "CONFIRMED" status (not pending)

Processing Time: Withdrawal requests are processed manually within 24-48 hours. Funds are sent directly to the registered M-Pesa number.

6. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination from the Program:

• Self-referrals or creating fake accounts to earn commissions
• Spamming or unsolicited mass marketing
• Misrepresenting MyPesaBooks services or features
• Using misleading or deceptive marketing practices
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent program limits

7. Commission Forfeiture

MyPesaBooks reserves the right to forfeit commissions if:

• The referee cancels their subscription during the trial period
• The referee's payment is reversed or refunded
• Fraudulent activity is detected
• The referrer violates these terms
• The referee's account is terminated for violations

8. Program Modifications

MyPesaBooks reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time, with or without notice. Changes to commission rates, minimum withdrawal amounts, or other program terms will be communicated via email and updated on this page.

9. Tax Responsibilities

Referrers are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from commissions earned through the Program. MyPesaBooks does not withhold taxes on referral payments. Consult with a tax professional regarding your specific obligations.

10. Limitation of Liability

MyPesaBooks is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Referral Program. Our total liability is limited to the amount of unpaid confirmed commissions in your account.

11. Termination

MyPesaBooks may terminate your participation in the Program at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination:

• Pending commissions will be forfeited
• Confirmed commissions may be paid out at MyPesaBooks' discretion
• Your referral code will be deactivated
